Fast, simple maintenance

MICHELL INSTRUMENTS reports it has launched an improved version of its interchangeable relative humidity sensor – the HygroSmart I7000XP – which can enable users to carry out maintenance on industrial relative humidity and temperature transmitters in as little as 30 seconds. Michell says the new unit has been developed by its research department and features the latest polymer capacitive technology to give an accuracy of 1%RH.
The main benefit of the I7000XP is said to be its modular format, which makes maintenance of compatible transmitters and probes fast, easy and cost-effective. The calibration data is stored in the electronics of the unit. To recalibrate a transmitter or probe, all that is needed is to replace the I7000XP sensor. No specialist training is needed and Michell says the process is as simple as changing a light bulb, with routine maintenance taking as little as 30 seconds for most products.

MICHELL INSTRUMENTS says its new HygroCal100 humidity verifier provides a practical option for companies that are not able to invest in a full humidity calibration laboratory to verify their humidity probes in-house.
MICHELL INSTRUMENTS has announced it has added an analyser dedicated to monitoring hydrogen-cooled electricity generators to its current range of moisture and oxygen analysers and says the new XTC601 for hydrogen cooled generators has been designed with three phase profiles to cover all of the gas analysis requirements for operation and maintenance.
