Validation of humidity probes

MICHELL INSTRUMENTS says its new HygroCal100 humidity verifier provides a practical option for companies that are not able to invest in a full humidity calibration laboratory to verify their humidity probes in-house.
The unit is said to be cost-effective and is available either on its own or with a choice of options to meet a variety of needs. Michell says on its own, the HygroCal100 provides a simple way to validate humidity probes on site and weighing just 3.2 kg and with a battery life of up to 8 hours it is easily portable. It is said to be capable of validating up to 7 probes of different sizes simultaneously, and has a simple automatic validation program which allows the operator to ‘set and forget’ while the unit is working.

MICHELL INSTRUMENTS says the HygroCal100 is a lightweight, portable humidity verifier, which uses its reliable internal polymer reference to provide automatic verifications of the accuracy of RH probes. However the HygroCal100 interface enables users to assign any hygrometer with an analogue output as a reference device – such as a chilled mirror hygrometer.
MICHELL INSTRUMENTS reports it has launched an improved version of its interchangeable relative humidity sensor – the HygroSmart I7000XP – which can enable users to carry out maintenance on industrial relative humidity and temperature transmitters in as little as 30 seconds. Michell says the new unit has been developed by its research department and features the latest polymer capacitive technology to give an accuracy of 1%RH.
The new MDM50 portable hygrometer from MICHELL INSTRUMENTS is said to give rapid dew-point measurements in compressed air – T95 to -35°C from ambient typically in less than 5 minutes. It has been designed to make spot checks of dew point in air and gases as simple and fast as possible.
