The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) has received a prestigious Silver Award from the Ministry of Defence’s Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS), acknowledging its commitment to supporting the defence sector and the wider armed forces community.

The Silver Award is a testament to MTC’s dedication to aligning its values with the Armed Forces Covenant, ensuring the fair treatment and support of service personnel, veterans, and their families. As part of the award requirements, MTC demonstrated proactive efforts to prevent disadvantages for members of the armed forces community in its recruitment processes. Additionally, the organisation provides flexible adjustments to support employees balancing careers with active roles in the Reserves.

Dr Graham Hoare, CEO at The Manufacturing Technology Centre, expressed pride in the accolade, commenting: “We are honoured to receive this Silver Award from the Ministry of Defence. At MTC, our people are at the heart of everything we do, and our colleagues from the armed forces community bring a unique skillset and invaluable experience. As an employer, creating a supportive working environment is integral to our mission, and this award underscores our team’s continued commitment to that goal.”

The award highlights MTC’s dedication to fostering a workplace where the armed forces community can thrive, reinforcing its standing as a supportive employer in the industry.
