SPS – Smart Production Solutions returns to original date in 2025

After a series of postponements due to the COVID-19 pandemic, SPS – Smart Production Solutions, the leading trade fair for smart and digital automation, is set to revert to its traditional timing at the end of November starting from 2025. Mesago Messe Frankfurt, the event organiser, has confirmed the dates for the next three editions, extending through 2027.

Sylke Schulz-Metzner, Vice President of SPS, commented: “The pandemic necessitated adjustments… We are pleased to announce the return of this end-of-year event to its customary position in the calendar from 2025 onwards, offering a familiar schedule for automation solution providers and stakeholders.”

The significance of SPS in the international automation industry is apparent from the booking figures for the upcoming SPS 2024, scheduled for November 12-14. Over 850 exhibitors, including notable names such as ABB, Lenze, Beckhoff Automation, Phoenix Contact, and Rittal, have already secured participation, reaffirming the trade fair’s central role as a platform for showcasing innovations and fostering industry collaboration.

The reinstatement of the traditional November timeframe aims to provide stability for industry participants and reflects the resilience of the automation sector amid challenging circumstances. It signals a return to normality and sets the stage for renewed engagement and innovation.

As preparations for SPS 2024 gather momentum and anticipation builds for subsequent editions, stakeholders anticipate reconnecting with peers and exploring emerging trends in smart and digital automation.

The return of SPS to its original date represents a significant milestone in the industry’s recovery journey, underscoring the sector’s adaptability and commitment to advancing technological solutions.
