Sophisticated infrared thermography

Published:  18 June, 2020

As an extension to its normal DSEAR Risk Assessment Services, by using sophisticated infrared thermography, DSC-Ltd says it can now assist companies to reduce carbon footprint and find potential incoming mains power faults before they become critical.

The company says drones using the XT2 thermal camera make light work of any infrared inspection - powerline, telephone mast, electrical substation, solar panel efficiency, or detecting heat loss.

Fitted with the Uncooled VOx Microbolometer thermal imager, this system allows for a 7.5-13.5 µm spectrum band, in either single shot or multi burst frame applications.

As with any aircraft, pilots are appropriately trained and hold PfCO certification. Insurance as standard is £5 million minimum PL, higher levels of cover can be provided.

All drone operations are limited to a 120 metres flight ceiling and 500 metres horizontal visual line of sight.
