Manage inventory remotely

Published:  12 June, 2020

Intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) are ideal for the safe storage and transportation of liquids – but they raise a number of challenges for level measurement. They’re often located remotely, and several IBCs can be scattered over a wide area. ENDRESS+HAUSER says its Micropilot FWR30 radar sensor solves these difficulties by offering remote access to the tanks to provide complete asset and inventory information, including measured value, ambient temperature and container location.

In most production plants, IBC level measurement is overlooked. For this reason, missing stocks are often only registered when the tank has already run empty and the production process has stopped. As a wireless 80GHz IIoT radar sensor, the Micropilot FWR30, combined with Netilion Value, allows companies to access data from anywhere at any time.
