UK Open Day is huge success

When Radwell International chose the date for its UK Open Day it says it could not have known the high level of response it would receive from customers, suppliers and exhibitors.

Radwell is a global leader in MRO and industrial automation solutions with a purpose built 58,000 square foot facility in Newcastle under Lyme, housing over 2 million parts and 130 employees. The UK branch serves over 50,000 customers in 166 countries and supplies to household names including Pirelli, BMW, Jaguar Land Rover, EDF Energy, the National Grid and Glaxo Smith Kline.

The Open Day was meticulously planned by Radwell’s new marketing team, bringing together all aspects of the business including engineering experts, repair technicians, sales representatives, warehouse operatives and shipping department to plan an extensive tour of the facility. Hours of preparation went in to sourcing external suppliers including industry relevant exhibitors such as TURCK, Finder, EMAS, Leuze and NiDec.

Martin Thomas, European marketing manager said “Our idea was to present a mini‐expo to customers, so they could experience Radwell’s range of products and services from an inside perspective. This bi‐annual event always engages our customer’s and with over 100 customers attending we believe that it was a huge success.”

Martin Keegan, managing director said “The Open Day proves how respected Radwell is throughout the industry and every customer who attended was impressed with our facility. Our aim was to raise awareness of Radwell UK as a supplier of over 2 million new, used and obsolete industrial automation and electronic control parts with the ability to also repair these parts. The tour included a visit to our engineering bay, repair centre and warehouse which all delegates found amazing and extremely useful with many stating that Radwell is now their go to business.”

Radwell says customer feedback has been invaluable which will help to shape the plans for its next Open Day.
