New oxygen analyser

MICHELL INSTRUMENTS has announced the launch of the XZR250 oxygen analyser for monitoring combustion control in industrial boilers and says it was developed to meet customer demand for a cost-effective, easy to operate instrument with a probe designed to cope with the high temperatures in the flue. Effective combustion control has growing importance for operators as it not only helps increase fuel efficiency but also ensures compliance with legislation on allowable emissions.
The company says the XZR250 uses a zirconium-oxide sensor with a life span of up to seven years (depending on the fuel used) to keep maintenance to a minimum and a key benefit of the sensor is its fast response of less than fifteen seconds to changes in oxygen concentrations of 90% of the range.

MICHELL INSTRUMENTS says companies can save money on costs and maintenance with its new zirconium-oxide based transportable oxygen analyser. Michell says the XZR400BM oxygen analyser is a small and light transportable instrument, capable of taking readings of both trace and percentage oxygen levels.
LAMINA DIELECTRICS specialises in the manufacture of heat shrink tubes and endcaps for electrical insulation applications and says it has developed unique spiral-winding and extrusion technology which uses UL recognised materials for its range of tubes and endcaps. During 2017 Lamina says it made significant investment in its manufacturing systems which included updating its statistical process control software as part of its ongoing support for its automatic inspection equipment.
MICHELL INSTRUMENTS says its S8000RS has proved itself as a ‘workhorse’ in many calibration laboratories and industrial settings. The company says the S8000 RS Precision Chilled Mirror Hygrometer measures dew points down to -90°C (0.1ppmV) with an accuracy of ±0.1°C, however, unlike many other chilled mirror hygrometers in this class, no additional external cooling equipment is needed to accurately reach these dry dew points.
MICHELL INSTRUMENTS says its new HygroSmart HS3 probe has been designed to withstand the kind of harsh and demanding conditions found in industrial processes. The company says unlike many ‘disposable’ probes that have a short life within harsh conditions before needing to be replaced, the HygroSmart HS3 sensor uses Michell’s polymer tile to give long-term reliable measurements
