MICHELL INSTRUMENTS says companies can save money on costs and maintenance with its new zirconium-oxide based transportable oxygen analyser. Michell says the XZR400BM oxygen analyser is a small and light transportable instrument, capable of taking readings of both trace and percentage oxygen levels.
It has been introduced to meet the demands of companies that wish to take routine readings from multiple sample points, and is said to be a highly cost-effective solution. The instrument is capable of taking readings on a low flow rate – just 2 l/h – which means less waste of the sample gas from the process. Based on its MSRS Zirconia oxygen sensor, Michell says the XZR400BM gives fast readings – 11 seconds for T90 – saving the operator working time when collecting field readings.

MICHELL INSTRUMENTS has announced the launch of the XZR250 oxygen analyser for monitoring combustion control in industrial boilers and says it was developed to meet customer demand for a cost-effective, easy to operate instrument with a probe designed to cope with the high temperatures in the flue. Effective combustion control has growing importance for operators as it not only helps increase fuel efficiency but also ensures compliance with legislation on allowable emissions.
MICHELL INSTRUMENTS says its XTC601 binary gas analyser ensures accurate control of levels of hydrogen in heat treatment furnaces during production of metal. With its small footprint, integrated display and interface, the XTC601 thermal conductivity analyser is said to be convenient to install and simple to use.
MICHELL INSTRUMENTS says its S8000RS has proved itself as a ‘workhorse’ in many calibration laboratories and industrial settings. The company says the S8000 RS Precision Chilled Mirror Hygrometer measures dew points down to -90°C (0.1ppmV) with an accuracy of ±0.1°C, however, unlike many other chilled mirror hygrometers in this class, no additional external cooling equipment is needed to accurately reach these dry dew points.
MICHELL INSTRUMENTS says its new HygroSmart HS3 probe has been designed to withstand the kind of harsh and demanding conditions found in industrial processes. The company says unlike many ‘disposable’ probes that have a short life within harsh conditions before needing to be replaced, the HygroSmart HS3 sensor uses Michell’s polymer tile to give long-term reliable measurements
