New online Steel Navigator

OVAKO says visitors to Subcon 2017, the UK’s subcontract manufacturing supply chain show dedicated to outsourced engineering services, now in its 41st year, can take part in special interactive demonstrations of its Steel Navigator. The powerful digital platform allows customers to search and find the most suitable steel for their applications.
The company says by visiting steelnavigator.ovako.com, users can search from a growing online database of more than 200 steels by standard, mechanical properties, weldability and hardenability, chemical composition and more.
Steel Navigator not only lists Ovako grades, such as the attribute brands BQ-Steel, IQ-Steel, M-Steel, WR-Steel and SZ-Steel, but also steels supplied by other manufacturers.

OVAKO is among the exhibitors at this year’s SPE Offshore Europe in Aberdeen, UK, where it says it will demonstrate how excellent yield, tensile and high impact strength and uniform properties in its high quality engineering steels can address the technical challenges facing today’s oil and gas industry.
Ovako says the latest wear resistant WR-Steel and next generation M-Steel were on show at MSV Brno Trade Fair and both offer manufacturers significant production advantages.
Materials handling specialist J D NEUHAUS says it will be presenting its concept study of a stainless steel air hoist for the first time at the LogiMAT 2016 exhibition, taking place in Stuttgart from 8 – 10 March 2016.
