Engineering steels on show

OVAKO is among the exhibitors at this year’s SPE Offshore Europe in Aberdeen, UK, where it says it will demonstrate how its high quality engineering steels are addressing the technical challenges facing today’s oil and gas industry.
Ovako says it will take the opportunity to present its newest attribute branded steel family, SZ-Steel. Designed for safer operations in extreme cold, sub-zero steels by Ovako offer high impact strength at temperatures of -40°C and below and are proven at temperatures down to -101C.
SZ-Steel was awarded the Spotlight on Arctic Technology Award at OTC's Arctic Technology Conference, earlier this year, recognising innovative new products that have significantly impacted Arctic exploration and production.
