Multi-analysis system shows reliable operations begin with reliable particle counting

Published:  06 May, 2015

A new multi-analysis system that helps users count particles and solid contamination in hydraulic and lubrication fluids to deliver reliable and efficient operations has been launched by Power management company Eaton.

The company’s CSM 02 system also analyses other important oil parameters, such as water saturation, temperature, viscosity and relative dielectric constant in stationary or mobile applications. Additionally it is suitable for analysing foamed oils in large gearboxes and flushing test stands.

The new CSM 02 multi-analysis system can easily be upgraded with Eaton’s WSPS 05 and/or IVS 01 sensors for additional monitoring and preventative maintenance capabilities. The WSPS 05 sensor determines the saturation level of water in oil and the IVS 01 sensor detects changes of viscosity, temperature and relative dielectricity before system failures can occur.
