Machining capability revealed

Published:  26 February, 2014

DAWSON SHANAHAN says its exhibit at Advanced Engineering UK 2013 is a must-see for anyone wishing to benefit from the highest degree of flexibility in machining, as well as previously unheard of short cycle times.

Although already renowned for its combination of in-house cold forming, precision CNC machining and assembly techniques, Dawson Shanahan reports it now offers yet greater speed and efficiency with a Triflex Modular multi-station CNC machine.

Dawson Shanahan’s newly acquired Triflex Modular multi-station CNC machining centre offers simultaneous five-sided machining without re-clamping, a turret with up to eight tools, tool changes during the machining process, extremely short chip-to-chip time, and separate loading and unloading stations. Each CNC unit has four fixtures mounted on a central trunnion that indexes to each machining station.
