Achieving new standard ISO 45001

Published:  03 May, 2019

MAKE BUSINESS, the business services division of Make UK (formerly EEF), reports it has supported leading international information technology company, Fujitsu, in achieving the new standard ISO 45001, the first organisation to be awarded the new standard by global testing, inspection and certification expert, Bureau Veritas.

Fujitsu EMEIA says it identified the international standard as a route to business-wide consistency and worked with Make Business to re-write the management standard to meet its organisational needs. Partnering with Make Business, Fujitsu says it effectively achieved its legal and language requirements and was able to cross borders to ensure compliance for its 140,000 employees, in over 100 territories.

Make Business created a comprehensive international legal register spanning over 30 EMEIA countries, which enabled the organisation to establish a single set of workforce-wide behaviours.
