Revision of key safety code

Published:  13 November, 2018

The British Compressed Gases Association reports it has completed a comprehensive review of one of its most widely consulted safety guidance codes within the manufacturing sector.

The trade body says Code of Practice 7, ‘The Safe Use of Oxy-Fuel Gas Equipment (Individual, Portable or Mobile Cylinder Supply)’ has been brought completely up-to-date, to include the latest information and guidance to support a safe environment in manufacturing.

Available for free download from the publications area of the BCGA website, Code of Practice 7 is one of the most commonly accessed documents within the association’s extensive library of safety material.

Information featured includes legislation, examination, inspection and maintenance and an overview of significant hazards, as well as advice on equipment, cylinder storage and handling, setting up and emergency procedures.
