New logistics centre

JACOB_Neues_Logistikzentrum_-_Perspektive_1.jpgJACOB has announced the opening of a new 7,500 square metre hi-rise logistics centre in Porta Westfalica, Germany, to serve its markets in the UK, across Europe and the rest of the world.

JACOB (UK) director John West said: “The new logistics centre will improve Jacob’s ability to reduce order delivery times and enhance the operational efficiency of the supply system to meet customer needs in the UK and the 40 countries that Jacob serves worldwide”.

JACOB says the state of the art logistics centre has 13,800 pallet locations holding over 5,500 parts and standard components for the extensive range of modular pipework sections and segments. An additional 1,000 square metre assembly area is used to consolidate and sequence shipments direct to customers’ sites.
