AJT_Engineering_IOSH_certificates.jpgOne of Scotland’s leading engineering groups has announced a company-wide commitment to enhanced safety standards. AJT ENGINEERING says it has upgraded its 5S culture to 6S – adding in safety as a key element. The initiative is being carried out across the firm’s four divisions in Aberdeen, Port Glasgow and East Kilbride. Over 40 members of AJT’s 111-strong workforce are participating in the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) “Working Safely” course.

Ronnie Brown, health, safety and quality (HSQ) manager, said: “Following the successful implementation of 5S at our Altens facility in Aberdeen, we’ve taken the decision to roll out 6S across all four facilities – adding safety to the other 5 elements”.
