ADVANCED VALVES SOLUTIONS (AVS) was established in 1998 to provide solutions to the Power Generation Industry when excessive wear, thermal cracking and stressing became a major problem – resulting in millions of pounds in lost revenue. AVS says it takes its industry knowledge and actively shares it with key customers and end users to create a detailed understanding of cause and effect in power generation.
AVS says the first workshop covered the challenges that engineers face in relation to IP and HP bypass stations and the feedback has been excellent.
UK director, Rik Barry explained: “This course was offered as a result of industry demand. We ask the industry what their problems are and cater for them with bespoke courses that offer the up-to-date innovations and, more importantly, a genuine fix for their issues.”

At its new training facility in Cheshire, ADVANCED VALVE SOLUTIONS says it has provided Valve Workshops that concentrate on concerns within the power industry, drawing on the expertise of its engineers as well attendees. The next ‘one-day’ workshop will be on the 8th November 2017. AVS says it has been instrumental in the provision of reliable and robust valves into Power Stations across Europe.
AGILITY FLEET has announced it has supplied a new fleet of vans to Motivair Compressors. The company says the new iconic Vauxhall Vivaro supplied completely rebranded, strengthens Motivair further with an agile, refined fleet to service its customers needs. Motivair is one of the UK’s largest independent compressed air management companies with engineers strategically placed to provide national coverage.
WEGER AIR SOLUTIONS UK says its ‘RFM’ range of ventilation heat recovery units with integral heat pumps offers designers a unique solution to an age old problem. There are six sizes in the range with air flow rates of 0.25 mᶟ/s to 1.11 mᶟ/s . Each unit consists of supply and exhaust air fans, a plate recuperator for air to air heat recovery and a heat pump refrigeration system, using a scroll hermetic compressor (R410A) with evaporator and condenser coils.
