Boilers for new centre

Published:  27 January, 2014

Staff and visitors at the newly built Portway Lifestyle Centre in the West Midlands will benefit from a low carbon heating and hot water system from MHS BOILERS, which is expected to contribute to a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating.

The purpose-built building has been installed with four R607 floor standing gas boilers and 32sqm of AURON DF evacuated tube solar collectors, supplying heating and hot water to the entire complex including a hydrotherapy pool, sports hall, gym and multi-purpose activity room.

To complete the Lifestyle Centre’s system, MHS Boilers has also supplied two 400kW plate heat exchangers, two 1,875L thermal stores and two 965L INOX-MAXI buffer vessels. In addition, the centre will incorporate a new GP surgery, which will also benefit from the latest equipment.
