Storage tank vent breathers

Published:  25 February, 2015

Brownell_Storage_Tank_Vent_Dryer_Image.jpgBROWNELL reports it has extended its range of storage tank vent breathers and adsorbers to prevent the contamination of valuable products from the harmful effects of moisture.

The company says the installation of these breathers has been made quick and simple, with a direct connection to an existing breather or vent pipe, this ensures that any incoming moisture vapour is removed before entering the tank

The effects of air transfer will lead to a dry gas blanket over the stored product.

A removable adsorbent container allows the unit’s desiccant material to be changed without breaking the breather pipe connection. Furthermore, a distinctive change in the desiccant’s colour, signals when it is saturated and needs to be replaced or reactivated. The colour change is from bright orange to a distinctive dark green.
