Gearbox manufacturer announces service partnership

Huddersfield based gearbox manufacturer, Hansen Transmissions Ltd, has announced that Taylor & Goodman has been appointed as its "Approved Service Partner”.

Taylor & Goodman offer a total electrical and mechanical service to industrial end users. The company, whose head office is in Reading, was formed in 1948 and now has over 140 people operating out of 8 strategically located workshops throughout the UK.

Hansen Transmissions Ltd is a member of the Hansen Transmissions International Group who is one of the world's leading manufacturers of industrial and wind turbine gear units.

The two companies signed the partnership agreement at the Plant & Works exhibition on Tuesday 22 April 2008.

Pete Ryder, managing director of Taylor & Goodman said: “We are delighted to be working alongside such a well established and reputable company as Hansen Transmissions. The partnership will benefit both companies and, most importantly, our customers, who will be able to enjoy an even better level of service of the repair or replacement of their geared units.”

Following a period of training, Taylor & Goodman will take on responsibility for the service and repair work for part of Hansen"s S4 range of geared units, while Hansen will continue to service and repair the larger gear units.
