HPC completes acquisition of Economatics Industrial

HPC plc has announced that it has completed the purchase of the Compressed Air activities of Economatics Industrial Limited.  The purchase includes the sales and service divisions of the Economatics branches in Sheffield, Leicester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Welwyn Garden City and Salford, but excludes Marshall Branson in Hebburn.

Trevor Stott, managing director of HPC Compressed Air Systems commented: "Having supported Economatics in supplying cost effective, industry leading compressed air equipment, parts and service for almost 40 years, we are pleased to have completed this acquisition and are delighted to welcome the compressed air staff and customers of Economatics to HPC”

The company employs close to 300 people and has turnover approaching £50m.  HPC comprises two main trading divisions, HPC Compressed Air Systems and HPC Precision Engineering.  HPC Compressed Air Systems, headquartered in Burgess Hill, Sussex, has specialised in the sales and servicing of HPC Kaeser air compressors for 30 years and has been at the forefront of the UK compressed air industry since the 1950s.
