Resin coating installation

Published:  29 September, 2007

Engineering company Arterial UK recently installed a Ryebrook resin floor at its new 10,000ft² HQ in Dorset.  The blue Ryetech coating, installed and supplied by Ryebrook Resins, is easy to keep clean, withstands impact and loading incurred from the forklift trucks and provides a safe, slip resistant footing for employees.

As part of a corporate re-branding exercise, Arterial UK decided to relocate to new premises better suited to its requirements.  Having previously battled with a high-maintenance concrete floor the directors contacted Ryebrook Resins to advise on the possibility of a more long-term solution for the new facility.  Offering good impact, loading and scratch resistance Ryetech is a solvent-free high-build epoxy coating that is available in a full range of over twenty colourways.  The easy-to-clean surface is also resistant to most chemicals, allowing spillages to quickly be wiped up.

To install the floor the Ryebrook team first had to key the concrete slab with shot-blasting and make good where necessary. The Ryetech coating was then laid to a thickness of 0.5mm throughout the 700m² factory including the shop floor offices, toilets and corridors.
