Jacob_uk_ltd.jpgThe new logistics centre at the JACOB headquarters in Porta Westfalica, Germany, is now fully operational. The company says with more than 7,500 square metres of space, the state of the art hi-rise logistics centre became effective during January, following the transfer from the existing warehouse over the Christmas holiday period.

Director John West said: “The new logistics centre will impact positively on Jacob’s ability to reduce order delivery times and enhance the operational efficiency of the supply system to meet customer needs in the UK and the 40 countries that the Jacob Group serves worldwide”.

13,800 pallet locations hold up to 8000 standard components of the extensive range of modular pipework, stacked up to 21 metres in height and 5 dedicated packing stations handle parcel shipments.
