Touchscreen control

Published:  24 February, 2014

SPIRAX says its EasiHeat engineered systems for delivering hot water and heating on-demand have been enhanced to deliver up to 20% energy savings compared to conventional steam-to-water heating systems.EasiHeat now features the Spirax Intelligent Monitoring System (SIMS).

The company reports SIMS is an innovative control and monitoring display technology that makes it easy to save energy and control critical applications. The new control technology uses a colour touchscreen interface to deliver key performance data to operators, such as steam use, fuel consumption and temperature. This helps operators to monitor energy use more closely and adjust the system to optimise efficiency. The interface is intuitive and can be used by operators with limited control experience.
