Published:  26 February, 2021

Make UK has launched an updated series of Health & Safety training to enable professionals to gain valuable expertise to build their careers in health & safety and sustainability

Focusing on 4 key courses, these have been developed to deliver qualifications in a unique way tailored to the learning needs of the individual. The courses can be delivered face to face in a Covid secure environment , virtually online or, as a blend of virtual classroom and online learning designed for learners who prefer the structured support that a tutor provides, but don’t have the opportunity to attend classroom sessions.

As an example the hugely popular NEBOSH General Certificate is available in March, through: Virtual Classroom, Face to Face, E-learning and Tutor Enhanced E-Learning . This is the most widely recognised health and safety qualification of its kind, giving learners the knowledge, skills and understanding of the principles of risk management and everything they need to know and do to make their workplace safer.

More than 80% of UK employers ask for a NEBOSH qualification when they are recruiting for health and safety roles. Suitable for line managers, supervisors and anybody with health and safety responsibilities the qualification is also perfect for those embarking on a health and safety career and can lead to further qualifications such as the NEBOSH diploma.

Further courses in the series will cover:

• NEBOSH Diploma

• NEBISH General Certificate

• IOSH Managing Safely

• IEMA Certificate

In addition, Make UK has developed a new one day Covid Compliance Audit. This comprehensive assessment checks employers’ compliance with the latest government guidance and the new Occupational health and safety management standard ISO 45005.

As well as assessing Covid control strategies and the efficiency of controls the assessment involves techniques in leadership and communications that employees have full confidence in the safety of the workplace.

Further details of the courses and audit can be found at NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health | Make UK and COVID-19 Compliance Audit | Make UK
