The Industry's Voice For Over 30 Years

IMHX 2025 Conference to spotlight smart tech, safety and sustainability

The IMHX Conference will return to the NEC Birmingham from 9–11 September 2025, bringing together thousands of warehouse and intralogistics professionals for three days of insight, innovation, and industry collaboration.

Running alongside the UK’s largest intralogistics exhibition, the conference will feature more than 25 hours of free seminar content, offering practical guidance and strategic updates on the trends shaping the future of logistics.

This year’s agenda is built around three key themes:

  • Sustainability strategies – Practical approaches to balance profitability with planet-friendly practices.
  • Smart technology – AI, automation, and data-driven solutions to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Safety and operational excellence – Ways to boost productivity while prioritising workforce well-being.

The line-up of speakers includes some of the sector’s most influential voices, such as Clare Bottle, CEO of the UK Warehousing Association (UKWA); Rob Fisher, CEO of the UK Material Handling Association (UKMHA); Ian Hepplewhite, Head of Inhouse Logistics & Contracts at Bentley Motors; and Jeremy Leonard, Managing Director of Global Industry Services at Oxford Economics. They will be joined by experts from Kennedy’s Law, RTITB, Mentor FLT Training, STIQ, and the UKMHA.

“At UKWA, we’re excited to be partnering with IMHX once again – and this year, we’ll be unveiling a game-changing initiative to accelerate the adoption of renewable energy across UK warehouses. It’s a bold step forward for our sector, and one I’m proud to lead. With over 30 years in logistics, I’ve seen first-hand how vital our industry is to the economy. Now, it’s time we match that importance with leadership in sustainability. Watch this space – change is coming, and at IMHX you’ll be the first to know!” said Clare Bottle, CEO at UKWA.

Alongside the conference, more than 300 exhibitors – including Crown, Toyota Material Handling, Körber, Combilift, AutoStore, Exotec, and Swisslog – will showcase solutions to support sustainability, safety, and operational efficiency.

A new highlight for 2025 will be the Future Zone, created in partnership with SEC Storage, which will feature next-generation innovations in renewable energy, warehouse optimisation, and eco-friendly technologies.

The event is expected to attract around 10,000 attendees, offering professionals from across the logistics spectrum an opportunity to explore emerging technologies, network with industry leaders, and gain actionable insights to prepare their operations for the future.
