Australian expansion

Hertel, the global industrial services provider, has expanded into Australia with the acquisition of Perth-based Modern Industries Pty Ltd. The company will be known as Hertel Modern.

The new company will be able to draw upon Hertel's 115 year track record of providing industrial and maintenance services to the petrochemical, process and power industries throughout Europe, Middle East and Asia.

Modern Industries was established more than 25 years ago and has worked extensively with Australia"s growing LNG sector, where Hertel has considerable experience.

Joost Knoll, the Hertel Group’s CEO, commented: "We are excited to be expanding into Australia with the acquisition of Modern Industries. Its team is very experienced and entrepreneurial providing a perfect fit for our business.

 “Hertel Modern will be supported through our strong organisation in Asia and we are confident that it can become a major player in the Australian market.”
