Expansion to range of engineered fluids for precision cleaning

3M has announced an expansion to its range of Novec engineered fluids. The latest addition to the range is Novec 73DE engineered fluid, designed for the more demanding types of metal cleaning applications.
In common with other Novec engineered fluids, it has excellent health, safety and environmental properties in line with all current regulations, making it a safe and sustainable choice. It is also the lowest priced Novec engineered fluid, meeting demands for safe, heavy duty cleaning performance at a lower operating cost.
With its proven track record spanning two decades, the Novec engineered fluids range is compatible with a wide variety of materials. The range provides high-performing alternatives to regulated solvents that are traditionally used for cleaning, including n-propyl bromide (nPB), Trichlororethlyene (Trike) and Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs).

The SICK OD1000 displacement sensor is said to set new standards in high-precision distance measurement with its extremely long 1 metre scanning range and a resolution down to 450µm. Developed by SICK to achieve high consistency and linearity in measurement results on many different surfaces and colours, even at high production speeds, SICK says the OD1000 goes the extra distance for performance and value.
NORTEK reports that warm air, radiant and heating products are now affected by European Regulations and says its ErP compliant range includes, RTU (packaged heat pump air handlers), the RTU series is a range of packaged direct expansion (DX) air source heat pumps and air conditioning units showing compelling performance under EN 14511:2013 and EN 14825:2016 standards and are equipped with EC Plug fan technology and free-cooling as standard.
