Tracking assets

Published:  19 February, 2015

Ilokerz.jpgiLockerz says its storage cabinets use ground breaking RFiD technology to track tools in and out whilst also recording the details of the user that carried out the transaction.

The company says the result is that engineering teams now know exactly who has a piece of equipment that is out, so that users can be found quickly and the tool returned or re-used without the -ever common place- hours of searching.

Other notable features include the ability to associate equipment use with permits to work, and a calibration programme that automatically locks down a tool when it has been in use for the pre-set number of hours.

All of this information is then packaged up into easy to digest email reports that appear in an inbox instantaneously.
