London housing estate kept in hot water

Published:  24 September, 2009

On Thursday, May 28th, Wellman Robey boiler hire division had an emergency call-out to provide hot water to 182 flats in Brixton, South London. The flats in three low rise blocks are presently under refurbishment while the tenants remain in residence. Three boilers which had provided hot water for the estate had failed an inspection due to old age and fatigue.

Carl Johnson, the estate manager for Community Trust Housing, who runs the development had a meeting with Wellman Robey in London on Friday 29th May where arrangements to hire a boiler were agreed.

On Saturday 30th a gas fired "Ygnette", containerised hot water boiler was delivered to site and over the Bank Holiday weekend this was connected and immediately provided the total hot water requirement for the estate.

Wellman Robey provide a wide range of gas and oil fired ‘Hire Boilers’ for providing steam or hot water which can be delivered to site in either containerized or trailerized form with hire periods available for long, medium or short term contracts. For further information please visit: www.wellman-robey.com
