African partnership

NOV Mono, designer and manufacturer of pumping systems, and Water For All, a non-governmental organisation that provides access to clean drinking water to schools and communities across Africa, have partnered to provide green solutions to the world water crisis.

In a rare collaboration between a global company and an African NGO, Mono and Water For All worked together to develop the new "Fun Pump", a water system that is made up of an electric pump powered by a solar panel and a special merry-go-round. The electricity generated from both the power of the sun and children at play provides a significant increase in water production over manually operated pumps.
Paul Naylon, group managing director of Mono commented: "We are delighted to have formed this partnership with Water For All to introduce a new solar pump that includes a merry-go-round. The strength of the Water For All programme combined with our proven technologies and wide distributor network across Africa will allow us to bring clean water to thousands of communities and make lasting changes in the health and well-being of children."
