New president at EI

James Smith CBE FEI, chairman of Shell UK, was elected Energy Institute (EI) President at the EI’s Annual General Meeting at the Institute of Directors in June.
In response to his election, James Smith CBE FEI, president, Energy Institute, commented: "It has never been a more exciting time to be involved in energy. There is so much at stake – the world needs more energy and less carbon dioxide. The Energy Institute is at the heart of the energy challenge as a professional body that encourages debate, disseminates knowledge and builds skills."
