Plant & Works Exhibition (PWE) joins NEC manufacturing line-up for 2008

Published:  18 April, 2007

2008 will see the launch of a brand new event for plant, works and maintenance engineers - Plant and Works Exhibition 2008 (PWE), organised by DFA Media – publisher of Plant and Works Engineering magazine.

Following the success of last summer's engineering 'super show" at the NEC, plans for next year’s event have been bolstered by the announcement that Plant & Works Exhibition 2008 (PWE) will join Air-Tech, Drives & Controls, IFPEX, MACH, Electrex and other co-locating shows at the 2008 exhibition.

The new Plant & Works Exhibition (PWE) will reflect the ‘multi-tasking’ required of today’s plant, works and maintenance engineers by covering a comprehensive range of topics. From computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS), condition monitoring, building & factory maintenance equipment to energy management, health & safety, training and handling & storage. The show is intended to be a ‘must visit’ in the diaries of engineers nationwide.

Exhibitors at PWE will be a mix of suppliers of plant and maintenance equipment and related products and services. To ensure sufficient coverage of the key industry topics, the exhibition will be split into three main categories: Core Maintenance Products & Services; Ancillary Services; and Energy Management. Energy management is a particularly topical area: good energy management could be a matter of survival for companies which are high energy consumers. This section of Plant & Works will be dedicated to making a difference to energy efficiency and will provide advice and information on all aspects of the subject.

Plant & Works 2008 will benefit from its co-location with other important manufacturing events such as Drives & Controls, Air-Tech and IFPEX, both of which enjoyed extremely successful shows at the NEC last year. Over 40,000 visitors attended the whole event in 2006, which also included MACH, Electrex, SubCon and Product Development. The inclusion of a maintenance-based engineering show like PWE will make the 2008 event a ‘one-stop shop’ for UK manufacturing, engineering and maintenance strategies.

PWE 2008 and its co-locating partner shows will take place from 22nd to 24th April 2008 at the Birmingham NEC. More information can be found at: www.pwe08.com
